All WiFi networks' are vulnerable to hacking, security expert discovers:

There is a limited amount of physical security already on offer by wifi: an attack needs to be in proximity,’ said Alex Hudson, the chief technical officer of subscription service Iron.

The security protocol used to protect the vast majority of WiFi connections has been broken, potentially exposing wireless internet traffic to malicious eavesdroppers and attacks, according to the researcher who discovered the weakness.
Mathy Vanhoef, a security expert at Belgian university KU Leuven, discovered the weakness in the wireless security protocol WPA2, and published details of the flaw on Monday morning.
“Attackers can use this novel attack technique to read information that was previously assumed to be safely encrypted,” Vanhoef said. “This can be abused to steal sensitive information such as credit card numbers, passwords, chat messages, emails, photos and so on.
Vanhoef emphasised that the attack works against all modern protected WiFi networks. Depending on the network configuration, it is also possible to inject and manipulate data. For example, an attacker might be able to inject ransom ware or other malware into websites.”
Overall this evidently shows the disadvantages of the media because overall this means that with NDM the problems that come can be serious because hacking into others WiFi will overall mean that the consumer that own that specific Network are going to have the problem of being exposed to everything that is available on their private browser and therefore they need to ensure that they are changing their passwords regularly. Furthermore this shows that hackers and criminals are going to be able to see into consumers information much more easily.
In my opinion i find that because of NDM its more of a job to look after; evidently, from this article it shows that we as the consumer are prone to much more exposed to the  hackers and are now more vulnerable than ever and this is going to have an effect on how we are using the internet long term.
